Questions about these terms

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website and, where applicable, to any project, consultation, or service you engage with me for (“Services”). By accessing this website or requesting Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use this website or engage my Services. I may update these Terms from time to time; the updated version will be indicated by the “Last updated” date shown above.

2. Use of this website

This website is provided for informational and portfolio purposes only. You agree that you will not:

  • Use this website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or server.
  • Copy, scrape, or reuse content without prior written permission.

I reserve the right to update, suspend, or remove this website at any time without prior notice.

3. Project proposals & estimates

Any proposals, quotes or estimates shared via email or other channels are based on the information you provide at that time. They are not legally binding until both parties agree in writing (for example, by email confirmation, signed contract, or approved proposal).

Estimates are valid for a limited period (usually 14–30 days) and may be adjusted if project requirements change or new information becomes available.

4. Payments & invoicing

Unless otherwise agreed, projects typically follow this payment structure:

  • Deposit: A non‑refundable deposit (for example 30–50%) to secure the slot and start work.
  • Milestones: One or more milestone payments tied to agreed deliverables.
  • Final payment: Due before handing over final files, credentials or moving to live server.

Invoices are usually issued in USD (or another agreed currency) and are payable within a specific timeframe (e.g. 7–14 days). Late payments may delay delivery and may be subject to late fees if agreed in advance.

5. Scope changes & revisions

The agreed scope of work will be described in the proposal, quote or project document. Any requests that go beyond this scope may:

  • Require a separate quote or change order.
  • Extend the delivery timeline.
  • Result in additional costs.

A reasonable number of revisions is typically included, focused on refining the agreed deliverables. Major changes in direction, features or design may be treated as new work.

6. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • You retain ownership of content you provide (text, images, logos, existing branding, etc.).
  • Upon full payment, you receive the rights to use the final deliverables (code, themes, assets created specifically for your project) for your own business purposes.
  • I may retain the right to reuse non‑confidential parts of the codebase, components, or general solutions in other projects.

I may also showcase non‑confidential parts of the project in my portfolio or marketing materials, unless we explicitly agree otherwise.

7. Confidentiality

Any sensitive information you share (for example, internal documents, login credentials, business strategies) will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of delivering the agreed Services.

You are responsible for providing access in a secure way and for revoking or updating access once the project is completed.

8. Warranties & liability

I aim to deliver work that is stable, secure and aligned with the agreed scope. However, due to the nature of software and third‑party services:

  • I cannot guarantee that the website or application will be completely free of bugs or compatible with all future browsers, devices or updates.
  • I am not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Where legally allowed, my total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Services directly related to the issue.

9. Termination

Either party may end a project or collaboration by providing written notice (for example, via email). In such cases:

  • You will pay for all work completed up to the date of termination.
  • Any deposits already paid are generally non‑refundable unless otherwise agreed.
  • I may provide partially completed work or handover notes where reasonable.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your primary business location or that of your client base (for example, your country / state). Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless both parties agree to an alternative method of dispute resolution.
